How did you celebrate independence day?

Unfortunately here in the great state of NY

fire works are illegal so there weren't any booming

or colorful events here unless you count the

exploding beans! LOL Yes folks my baked beans

exploded! Apparently someone turned the burner

on that the casserole dish sat on and it got too

hot and exploded all over every thing. Fortunately

no one was hurt during this mishap but it was

Hilarious and i heard about it all nite. Since we are so

far from home all the neighbors in our building with

a few other friends celebrated through food and fellowship.

We ended up barbecuing

which was very interesting since it was raining! it didn't feel like

the 4th of July at all but i did have a good time with new

friends that i hope become very old ones.

When living in military community

you are pressured to reach out to find new friends,

but some times you are

lucky enough to find a new edition to your family.
